Dr. Laura M. Arpan is the Theodore Clevenger Professor of Communication and Director of Doctoral Studies in the School of Communication at Florida State University. Dr. Arpan’s research examines risk perceptions, human motivation and responses to pro-environmental messages, interventions, and related technologies. Her projects focus on the effectiveness of promotional messages and outreach efforts designed to encourage sustainable behaviors such as energy conservation and efficiency. IEA EBC Annex 66 gathered more than 100 researchers from 22 countries for 4.5 years
IEA EBC Annex 66 was officially closed on June 21, 2018. Annex 66 gathered more than 100 researchers from 22 countries for 4.5 years (2013 to 2018) researching on occupant sensing technologies, data collection, modeling and simulation methods and tools, interdisciplinary issues, and case studies integrating occupant behavior insights into the building lifecycle to improve performance. Final report, deliverables, more than 100 journal articles, and several occupant behavior modeling tools are listed at Annex66.org website. A new EBC Annex 79 was launched on June 21, 2018, to continue and further research the occupant behavior topic.
