Dr. Laura M. Arpan is the Theodore Clevenger Professor of Communication and Director of Doctoral Studies in the School of Communication at Florida State University. Dr. Arpan’s research examines risk perceptions, human motivation and responses to pro-environmental messages, interventions, and related technologies. Her projects focus on the effectiveness of promotional messages and outreach efforts designed to encourage sustainable behaviors such as energy conservation and efficiency. Ulrike Passe
Ulrike Passe serves as the Director of the Iowa State University Center for Building Energy Research (CBER). She is also an Associate Professor ofArchitecture in the ISU College of Design, where she teaches environmental forces and controls as well as sustainable design studios. Ulrike Passe is a license architect in Berlin Germany and received her Dipl.-Ing. In Architecture degree from the Technical University of Berlin.
